Hypocrisy in space politics hits escape velocity

Elon Musk’s departure from DOGE has allowed him to voice his view that the President’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ that barely escaped the lower chamber of Congress is a ‘disgusting abomination.’ Musk pointed out that the bill would disastrously increase the budget deficit.
Musk’s government departure should also allow him to focus on his business enterprises. He announced revenue projections for SpaceX through the end of 2025 at $15.5 billion.
Elsewhere related to space, the White House rescinded its nomination of Musk ally and commercial astronaut Jared Isaacman to serve as NASA administrator. Isaacman had cleared the confirmation hearings in the Senate’s Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and was awaiting a full senate confirmation vote. President Trump allegedly grew concerned over Isaacman’s past donations to Democrats—about which he supposedly already knew.
