Good morning,

DOGE is the gift that keeps giving. Not only is the ad-hoc agency taking credit for contracts that were cancelled decades ago, reporting inflated numbers on its website, and creating unnecessary work for government employees, now it is looking to train AI on federal data that it collects.

While the White House has clearly stated that Elon Musk, the head of DOGE, will not be feeding that data into his company xAI and its AI model Grok, concerns persist. These concerns have led to bipartisan calls for guardrails. That a Canadian watchdog is concerned Musk is using private user data from his company X in AI models only amplifies the concerns.

Several big announcements this week in quantum, as well.
