The Department of Defense has finally released the long awaited, inaugural National Defense Industrial Strategy. Unfortunately, strategies typically connect ends, ways, and means, and the NDIS is a bit light on ways and means. Congress still proves unable to pass a budget, although it’s passed yet another continuing resolution to kick the can down the road. Iran and Pakistan are trading missile attacks, ostensibly against militants in one another’s countries. Pakistan has also launched attacks against Iranian-backed Houthis. POTUS (President of the United States) has stated that US strikes against the Houthis will continue, as the US adds the rebel group back to the list of specially designated global terrorist organizations. Japan has reached the moon! OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, has reversed its previous position and is now working with the US military.
